Dogwood’s turn to wash the Cancer Cars

The weekend of February 18 saw the members of Dogwood Lodge out in Vancouver, taking their turn to wash the Cancer Cars. If you don’t know about this program, click here to learn more.

It’s been a while since we last got together as a lodge to wash the cars. It’s a great program and it takes so little to help out. W. Bro. John MacKay, W. Bro. Steven Andsten and W. Bro. Len Fraser got together on Sunday morning and headed out to Vancouver. It was a lot of fun and a chance for us to get together outside of lodge. We started around 10am and were finished shortly after 1pm. After that we headed back to Langley, stopping off at a local pub to have some lunch and refreshment.

We’ve spoken with a coordinator of the Cancer Car program and have made arrangements to do this again. The schedule has not yet be set, but this will most likely happen in the early fall. Once we have a firm date we’ll post it and announce it in lodge as well.
